Dr Liz White
BSc (Hons), DClinPsy, CPsychol,
Dr White is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, Chartered Scientist and a Practitioner Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Dr White completed her BSc (Hons) at the University of Kent and went onto complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire in 2007. Since qualifying she has worked in the NHS and currently works as Principal Clinical Psychologist within a community mental health team and a memory assessment service.
Dr White is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. She regularly teaches on Clinical Psychology Doctoral courses at local Universities and is responsible for providing placements for trainee clinical psychologists in the area. In addition she is a certified Connecting With People trainer and provides training for clinicians in suicide awareness and management.
Dr White has extensive experience of treating a wide spectrum of psychological issues. She has a special interest in managing anxiety and depression. Dr White uses an integrative approach in her work, drawing on cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and committment therapy and psychodynamic approaches.
